TIP: learn to fit life not try and make life fit myself FEARLESS ENCOUNTERS 01 March 2002 - harsh realities of life "force" us to stay close to our comfort zone - our choices are controlled by fear of the consequences ? why does FEAR rule our choice to stay in our comfort zone - FEAR = ignorance = lack of knowledge - we doubt our ability to cope with NEW - ability = power, awareness of topic, clarity - when power is skillfully applied success is possible - power is not control of process - we want to stay in control not to express our power - we do all things to satisfy our [percieved] needs - power is needed to achieve this - if the power is not applied properly then needs are not fully satisified - needs = physical emotional psychological spiritual - while we are not in touch with our power everything is effortful - not in touch = doubt in ability to deal with unknown ? what are the different ways our power manifests itself - compassion caring - helping assisting - tolerence - awareness of bigger picture - choose thoughts, reactions * 7 Chakras (power comes if they are satisified successful - 1 Base = worldly security - 2 Creativity = adaptable, flexible, maleable, to fit change - 3 Personal = self image, self esteem - 4 Heart = love, compassion, openness - 5 Communication = honest open inspired - 6 Focus = dedicated, mindfull, concentrate - 7 Mystical = spiritual clarity - power flows both directions thru the chakras - if 7 is blocked neglected = duality, unconnected - if 6 is blocked neglected = perceive things wrongly - if 5 is blocked neglected = ineffective communication - if 4 is blocked neglected = heart closes - if 3 is blocked neglected = sense of self uses harshness not gentleness - if 2 is blocked neglected = creativity blocked - if 1 is blocked neglected = grounding is lost ? what does successful living mean ? how do you translate success for your life - no regrets - peace(ful) - adding(touch)others - acknowledge as having wisdom - live with presencec - enjoy life and not deny(myself) the opportunity joy - unending commitment to inner excellence for the benefit of self and others - inner excellence = being in touch with good and bad in self and others - work with what we have, help others to do the same - the more people you can benefit the better for all - the consequences of your actions cannot be denied [eventually] * Successful living translates as - our ability to empower our lives in such a way as to enable Spiritual Excellence - we are in relationship with everything living or not living - 3 methods of dealing with your power + em-power + dis-em-power leads to suffering + ignore leads to suffering - disharmony induced by poor application of power - meeting or discussion + empower, listening attentively, supportively + dis-empower, be-little etc + ignore, dont even acknowledge - To really empower others we have to feel where they are coming from and accept where they are - when we do this for otheer we will do it for ourselves - when we hurt we try to induce hurt - we cause pain to ease pain, retaliation, is a negative spirial - know yourself to know others - as you sow, so shall you reap - our needs are the same - the way to have these needs fulfilled are unique - be sensitive of YOUR/THEIR method of, need for fulfilment - insensitivity prevents POWER improvement by ignoring - growth (of inner excellence) comes from facing challenges - experienced[eg trade]people are "better" than inexperienced - use the correct tools to create a master piece - stress and resulting dis-empowerment as tool is a bad tool - express pain as anger(external) depression(internal) - stress is a mis-evaluation of a situation, as a not an opportunity to evolve. - check, clarify your perception * compassion allows us to see the PAIN that is causing others to try and hurt us - Spiritual Practice and Spiritual Excellence is not only if we are in the mood - you get what you pay for, if you want it, work towards it - make changes to get different results and continue to refine ? how do you feel about postoning your happiness by living FEAR SELFDOUBT WORRIES ? how would you feel if you were to invest more time and energy learning how to apply POWER more skillfully
